Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL) has started the construction of the first-ever aerobridge in the Maldives.

In a post on X last night, MACL said the aerobridge will be installed at the new international passenger terminal at Velana International Airport (VIA).

The installation of the aerobridge will enhance the quality of experience of customers availing services from VIA, MACL said.

At VIA, people are now required to leave the terminal and walk, or call the plane in an airport bus.
