Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said the second shipment of rock boulders required for the R. Innamaadhoo Shore Protection Project has been delivered to the project site.

MTCC said groyne profiling works are currently ongoing at the site.

Scope of work for the project includes construction of 360m groynes. MTCC was contracted with the project by Planning Ministry on 13 October 2022 and field work on the project began on 14 January.

The project is valued at MVR 14.77 million.
