The Parliament administration has revealed that the parliament session scheduled for 11:00am this morning was delayed to 1:00pm in order to repair some of the microphones of the lawmakers.
Parliament Media Director Hassan Ziyau told One Online that the microphones on the tables of the members of the parliament need time to be repaired.
Therefore, today's session is now scheduled to start at 1:00 pm, he said.
Today's session of the Parliament is the second in a series of sessions to approve ministers and to move forward some important bills.
The first extraordinary session was held yesterday.
The first reading of some bills was heard in yesterday's session.
However, the opposition MDP issued a whip line not to approve some ministers. The session was not held till 11 pm due to clashes between members of both sides. Some members were injured in the clash. The microphones on the tables of the members were lifted and the sound was damaged.
