Parliament session on cabinet approval, which was scheduled to begin at 1100hrs, has been postponed till 1300hrs.

According to Parliament administration, the session is scheduled to begin at 1300hrs, but no details have been provided on the delay.

Today's session is the second of a series of sittings in the Parliament after some members moved a motion demanding that the Parliament be convened outside the session to give approval to ministers and take up some important bills.

The first extraordinary session was held yesterday.

Although the first reading of some of the bills was read out at the session, the most important thing was the approval of president Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's cabinet.

However, when the opposition MDP issued a whipline not to approve some of the ministers, the PNC members blocked the holding of the meeting, resulting in no decisions being made even until 2300hrs on Sunday night.

A scuffle between MPs leftsome members injured and some of the property in the Parliament damaged.

The issue of approval of ministers has also been listed on the agenda for today's parliament session, apart from which no other work has been scheduled yet.
