Some members of the Parliament have been injured in a scuffle between members during the extraordinary session of the Parliament on Monday.

The scuffle broke out between members representing the government and opposition members regarding the vote to approve President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's Cabinet. The opposition earlier in the day decided not to approve some Ministers, which led to public protests outside of the Parliament.

A video that surfaced on social media shows MP Ahmed Easa and MP Shaheem in a physical altercation resulting in several injuries to both members.

Injured MPs were transported to ADK Hospital for treatment.
