The ruling PPM/PNC coalition will win at least 62 seats in the March 17 parliamentary elections, President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu said.

Speaking to the media after arriving at the polling station today, President Muizzu said the government would take a super majority in the parliamentary elections.

“We will win a supermajority in parliament and take at least 62 seats in the parliamentary elections,” he said.

He said he was working for the people and putting the rights of the people and the rights of the country first.

“In fulfilling our promises to the people, we have been delivering everything we have set out in Hafthaa 14 to date. Therefore, we are looking forward to fulfilling our promises to the people and maintaining the trust of the people,” he said.

Therefore, he will win at least 62 seats in parliament with the support of the people, he said.

The President said that some of the candidates who lost in the previous parliamentary primaries are contesting the parliamentary elections on their own. He described this as a sad act.

The President said that such a scenario will not be seen in the PPM/PNC coalition this time.
