Three more members of the Male' City Council have joined the ruling People's National Congress (PNC).
The members handed over their forms to President Dr. Muizzu on Thursday. The members who signed to PNC include two from PPM and one from MDP.
The members who signed the PNC were Aishath Nazima, council member from Maafannu South constituency, Ibrahim Aboobakuru from Maafannu West constituency, and Mohamed Arish, a council member from Maafannu West constituency.
Ahmed Rishwan Rasheed, who contested this month's Male' City Council by-election on a MDP ticket and secured the central Henveiru seat, also recently signed on to the PNC. He signed the PNC before he was sworn in as a member.
Earlier on January 6, at the launch of the manifesto of former Attorney General Azima Shakoor, the PNC's mayoral candidate, two members of the Male' City Council signed on to the PNC. Two members of the Male' City Council signed on to the PNC, which was elected to the council on a MDP ticket and later joined The Democrats. Member Aishath Nizli Rashid.
As a result, six members of male' city council have signed the PNC this month.
