The President’s Office today announced the details of the expenses incurred by President Mohammed Muizzu for his first visit to China.

President Muizzu decided last December to disclose the expenditure on official visits within 15 days of the end of each visit by the President or the Vice President.

President Muizzu and his wife Sajida Mohammed, visited China from 7 to 13 this month. The visit was at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

According to the details of the expenditure released by the President's Office today, the entire trip cost MVR 2.4 million.
