Housing Development Corporation (HDC)'s Managing Director Fazul Rashid on Tuesday hit back at rumours about his salary.

According to some media reports, Fazal's salary is MVR 186,000.

In response, Fazul posted on X late last night that it would have been better if the information had been cleared through the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) instead of spreading rumours about his salary.

"We will fast-track HDC's efforts to improve its performance and implement the government's policies," Fazul said.

Fazul was also the Managing Director of MWSC and later became a member of parliament for Felidhoo constituency.
