Sheena elected as Bar Council Executive Committee Member

Aishath Sheena Mohamed has been elected as the Bar Council Executive Committee Member.

In a statement issued on Tuesday night, Bar Council said that Sheena was elected for the vacant position after a yes or no vote at the bi-election of the Council.

Bar Council said that 36 of the 71 eligible and registered members voted at the bi-election. Sheena was elected Member with a majority of the votes.

Sheena previously served as Under Secretary of the Legal Affairs Office of the President's Office for one year from 2018 as well as at Suood & Anwar LLP Law Firm. Sheena holds a law degree from the University of London and has been working in the legal field since 2016.
