Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has said that it will start signing the flat agreement within three days of the conclusion of the case filed with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) regarding the list of recipients of flats under construction in Hulhumale'.
In a video posted on social media, FDC said the flat deals had been printed and the signing would begin within three days of the list's completion.
Under the housing scheme announced by the previous government, 4,000 flats are being built in Hulhumale'.
A total of 20,697 applicants applied for flats under the first phase of the housing scheme, including 14,489 who applied for a three-room apartment and 6,208 for a two-room apartment. Only 13,000 of those who applied for flats met the eligibility criteria.
The previous government had made public the list of beneficiaries and even wrote to some people, but following complaints, the commission had ordered a stay on allotment of flats.
