The Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL) has said it is preparing for emergency training at regional airports.

In a statement to the press yesterday, RACL said the exercises were an emergency exercise carried out by International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), to operate at least once a year at all airports.

The training is aimed at reviewing the procedures and procedures to be followed by the airport and the relevant institutions in the area under which it is located in case of an emergency, the RACL said.

Apart from airports, RACL said councils, police, MNDF and health centres will participate in the training.

The RACL is yet to announce the date of the training.
