Elections Commission (EC) has announced the official results of the Male' City mayoral bi-elections.

According to the official results released by the EC on Monday, MDP's Adam Azim received 7,621 votes - 44.81 per cent of the election, while PNC candidate Azima Shakoor got 5,031 votes - 29.58 per cent of the election.

Hussain Wahid, who contested as an independent candidate, got 1,888 votes while Shuaib Ali got 125 votes.

Male' City Central Henveiru Constituency By-Election Results:

  • MDP's Ahmed Rishwan – 320 votes, 30.65%
  • Congress candidate Fathimath Shauf Saleem - 305 votes, 21.93 per cent
  • Independent candidate Mohammad Zain Hasan – 190 votes, 10.20%
  • Independent candidate Abdulla Atuf – 229 votes, 21.93%

Male' City Maafannu South constituency by-election results:

  • Congress candidate Hassan Nizam – 383 votes, 35.36%
  • Mdp's Mohammad Imran – 343 votes, 31.67%
  • Independent candidate Mohammad Maizar Adam Zahir - 215 votes, 19.85 per cent
  • Ali Ishaq, who ran for The Democrats – 84 votes, 7.76 percent
  • Independent candidate Mohammad Rafiu - 58 votes, 5.36 per cent
  • Male' City Henveiru South constituency by-election results:
  • Congress candidate Aminath Rishfa Ahmed - 411 votes, 40.37 per cent
  • Aishath Afnan Ali, who contested as an Independent - 160 votes, 15.72 per cent
  • MDP's Hawwa Nihula – 308 votes, 30.26%
  • Aishath Leena, who contested on behalf of The Democrats – 139 votes, 13.65 per cent
