Ameenee Magu has been opened for traffic.

Ameenee Magu was initially scheduled to be opened for traffic on Sunday. However, the road was opened for public ahead of schedule to provide transportation ease to the residents due to heavy rainfall, Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure said.

Speaking at the ceremony to open up Ameenee Magu, Road Development Corporation (RDC)'s Managing Director Ali Zuhair said that it is a great success that the road development works were completed within 28 days. He extended gratitude to the team for their dedicated efforts to complete the project.

"We have set a precedent. We have shown that those at the helm of this leadership can lead and complete tasks," Zuhair said.

The final phase of Ameenee Magu development commenced on 9 December.

Planning Ministry contracted RDC with Ameenee Magu development on 3 July 2022 for MVR 84.4 million.
