Male' City mayoral election voting hours has been extended due to bad weather.

The elections scheduled to be held tomorrow include the mayoral elections, the bi-election for Maafannu Dhekunu, Medhu Henveiru, Henveiru Dhekunu members, and M. Mulaku women development committee member election.

In a statement issued on Friday night, Elections Commission (EC) said that owing to bad weather and rough seas, the voting hours for the elections have been extended until 1700hrs on Saturday.

Prior to this, the ballot was scheduled to be closed at 1600hrs.
