Heavy rainfall has left Male' city flooded while yellow alert has been issued for some atolls.

MNDF Fire and Rescue is making efforts to reduce the floods in Male' city after the non-stop rainfall since Friday morning.

MET Office has issued a yellow alert from Kaafu Atoll to Meemu Atoll following bad weather conditions. The alert was issued from 1030hrs till 1430hrs.

The MET Office is forecasting thunderstorms between Kaafu and Meemu atoll with winds up to 45mph.

A white alert has also been issued from Raa Atoll to L Atoll from 0930hrs to 1530hrs on Friday. MET office forecasts thunderstorms in the area with winds of 22-27mph and winds of 40mph during the storm. Sea are expected to be rough.
