Aminath Hameed has been appointed Chairperson of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), making her the first female to hold the post.

Aminath was appointed to the post by Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) on Tuesday and will report to work today.

Prior to this, Aminath filled the role of Board Member at Thilafushi Corporation Limited as well as Assistant Undersecretary, Assistant Director and Deputy Director at Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL).

Aminath completed her Bachelor's in Business Administration and Master's in Marketing.
