Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) has said Maldives is likely to experience bad weather due to a tropical storm passing over the country.

In a post on X, the MET Office said that heavy rain and strong winds are expected over the next three days.

Several parts of the country have witnessed severe weather conditions over the past week. As many as 164 houses in Male’ reported flooding to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) due to heavy rains.

In addition to Male' city, F. Nilandhoo, K . Guraidhoo, L. Gan, L. Fonadhoo, and S. Maradhoo have also reported damages due to the server weather. Of these, 20 houses in Guraidhoo were flooded, and people from three houses were shifted to other places due to the damages, according to the NDMA.
