Planning Ministry has said the final two segments of Ameenee Magu will be opened for traffic on Saturday.

In a message to the media on Tuesday night, Planning Ministry said that the final two segments of Ameenee Magu will be opened for traffic at 0600hrs on Saturday. Additionally, the Ministry said the Ameenee Magu-Izzudheen Magu junction and Ameenee Magu-Kamba Aisarani Hingun junction will be opened for traffic at 0600hrs on Wednesday.

The asphalt works on the final two segments of Ameenee Magu was completed on Sunday.

Planning Ministry contracted Ameenee Magu project to RDC on 3 July 2022 for MVR 84.4 million. The physical work of the project commenced on 30 August 2022.
