Ministers were seen traveling in economy class during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's state visit to China.
President Muizzu left for China early last night. The President has previously said that neither he nor the Vice President wants to travel on first-class tickets. However, he travels in first class due to security reasons. He said he would reduce the cost of travel.
According to a video shared by Strategic Communications Minister at the President's Office, Ibrahim Khaleel in X yesterday, the ministers attending the President's visit to China arrived in economy class. They include the Foreign Minister, the Defense Minister, the Agriculture Minister and the Infrastructure Minister.
The President and Vice-President have decided to disclose the expenses of their official visits within 15 days of the end of the trip.
