Hasantey has also left MDP and joined the ruling PNC.

Hasantey posted on social media today that he has decided to continue with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and will remain with the PNC with honesty and sincerity.

Hasantey was active in the formation of the MDP and was at the forefront of street activities. Instead of joining The Democrats, Hasantey worked for former President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih's campaign in the last presidential election.

Besides Hasantey, 13 MDP MPs signed up for the PNC at a special event held on the 28th last month. The most prominent of these members is Maradhoo MP Ibrahim Shareef (Mavota).

Speaking at the rally, President Muizzu said the members who signed up for the PNC were members who put the country first and thanked them for signing up for the PNC.
