Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that Sh. Maaungoodhoo Harbor Development Project is well underway, with overall 53% project progress.

They noted that they have completed construction of the quay wall. In addition, all required rock boulders for the project has arrived and unloading is ongoing.

The scope of works include, 59,013cbm of dredging operations, 3,245cbm of channel dredging operations, construction of a 362m breakwater; a 312m quay wall; a 105m revetment; installation of 1,509sqm harbor pavement, construction of a ramp & concrete jetty, installation of harbor lights & mooring buoys.

The value of the project is MVR 56.79 million.
