Former Attorney General Azima Shakoor has said that the people will not regret electing her as the Mayor of Male' City.

Speaking after launching her manifesto at PNC office last night, Azima noted that she is there to make the vision of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu a reality, and that she would not hesitate one bit in doing such work.

Azima said she was so confident because President Muizzu was there to guide her. President Muizzu has achieved many successes while serving as the Mayor of the city, Azima said.

The political arena is not an easy path for women and she is the only woman running for mayor. She began serving the state from the age of 17 and discharged her responsibilities with integrity and honesty.

If she is elected mayor with that history, it shows that women can move forward politically, she said.
