Father of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) President and Meedhoo MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed has passed away.

Siyam's father, N Kudafari, Mohammed Qasim passed away during the early hours of this morning. He was 81 years old when he died.

Qasim died of illness, while being treated at ADK Hospital.

He has done many services to Kudafari including being the Katheeb of the island.

The funeral will be held at the Islamic Center after the evening prayers today.
