A plane crash has left five dead after a Japan Airlines (JAL) plane collided with a Coast Guard aircraft at Tokyo's Haneda Airport, local Japanese media have reported.

According to media reports, all 379 passengers and the crew of the JAL plane survived the collision while five out of the six crew members of the Coast Guard plane died.

Flights have been diverted out of Haneda Airport to Narita Airport due to the runway closure following the incident. Singapore Airlines reported several SQ flights' schedules have been affected as well.

Live footage from NHK showed the JAL Airbus A350 bursting into flames as it skidded down the tarmac.
