President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has denied rumours circulating that land allotted by the previous government under 'Gedhoruveriya' scheme will be transferred under Rasmale' project.
Speaking at the 'Feshun' rally organized by PPM/PNC in Dharubaaruge last night, President Dr. Muizzu said that the government has no intention of taking back land from those under the 'Gedhoruveriya' scheme.
He said that the previous government had done anything for the people with sincerity, adding that is why the people voted the previous government out. He added that instead of accepting the loss, MDP is now trying to mislead things.
"MDP has fabricated lies that this administration is changing the allotted land to Rasmale' project. This is not something our administration has considered or discussed," he said.
Speaking at the rally last night, President Dr. Muizzu said that some people in Usfasgandu area were there to protest because they believed the lies fabricated by MDP.
He said the current administration's policies were clear on everything, adding that he will remain true to his word.
