Former State Electric Company (STELCO) Managing Director Hassan Mughunee has been appointed Deputy Managing Director of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

The date of Mughunee's appointment is unclear. However, MTCC's website lists Mughunee as their DMD.

He was the MD of STELCO in the previous government and the State Minister of Environment.

Mughunee was also one of the members appointed to the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) when President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu initially formed the board.

However, President Muizzu has since reshuffled the PCB and Mughunee was removed from the board.. The reason for his dismissal is unclear.
