Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka has requested all Maldivians to stay indoors during curfew hours, as the threat of terrorist attacks are still imminent.
Speaking to “One Online”, a senior official at the Embassy noted that a curfew has been put into effect starting 8:00pm on Monday night still 4:00am Tuesday morning. The official noted that it was not safe at all for any Maldivian to be out and about during this time period.
The official also advised everyone to stock up on essentials when the curfew is listed. In addition to this, the Embassy had been closely monitoring the situation of all Maldivians who are currently in Sri Lanka and noted that there have be no reports of a Maldivian being injured so far.
About 300 people have lost their lives following eight bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, with several hundred severely injured.
