Male’ City Council has revealed that discussions were ongoing to impose parking fees for engined vehicles which are parked in Male’ City.
The city council noted that it was essential to make it easier for pedestrians to move out and about in the city, and stressed that this would be possibly only by allocating newer parking zones. Under this, additional parking zones will be developed this year.
They added that eight acres of land was required to fix the parking issue that the city faces, and highlighted that certain measures needed to be taken to fix it.
In addition to this, the council added that the relevant authorities were working on finding a solution to the traffic issues that the capital faces.
