President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, upon his Cabinet’s recommendation, has declared the last ten days of Ramadan government holidays.

This decision followed discussions on a paper submitted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs during today’s Cabinet meeting.

This measure intends to foster Islamic values, encourage engagement in religious practices, and allow citizens to prioritise religious observances during this significant period.

The closing of government offices for the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan is among the presidential pledges of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
