The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) has released the procedure for conducting medical check-ups under the Aasandha scheme.
The rules framed by NSPA on Thursday pertain to providing additional services under the Aasandha scheme, which were included in the manifesto of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's government through Aasandha. Recently, President Dr. Muizzu's cabinet decided to provide these services.
The policy for providing medical check-up services twice a year states that medical check-up packages prescribed by Aasandha company for different age groups can be used once a year for each person in that age group.
In addition, medical check-up can be done twice in a year on the advice of the doctor and medical check-up can be considered only after receiving all the services included in the package, the policy said.
According to the policy, medical check-ups under the Aasandha scheme can be done by government hospitals and health centres, but the medical check-up packages mentioned in the policy are yet to be made public by NSPA.
President Dr. Muizzu has also decided to conduct medical check-ups twice a year under the Aasandha scheme and provide PCOS and endometriosis treatment.
