Kulhudhuffushi 'Bahaadhuru' boat carrying more than 50 passengers has run aground in Noonu Atoll.

MNDF revealed that the boat was en route from Male to Kulhudhuffushi when it ran aground the Dhekenanfaru in Noonu Atoll.

One Online has learnt that the boat ran aground arouund 1:50am last night.

The Coast Guard Harbor Craft 116 is on board to assist the boat. There were 58 people on board when the incident occurred. They included ten crew members, six women, and six children.

17 people have been taken to Komandoo while 31 people are being taken to Kulhudhuffushi city by a boat called Flying Fish.

There are currently only ten crew members on board.
