The Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure has decided to resume the work of the unfinished section of Ameenee Magu.

The Construction and Infrastructure Ministry said in a statement today that a meeting was held with the RDC and stakeholders regarding the Ameenee Magu construction project.

“It was decided during the meeting to commence work of the last segments 12 and 13 of Ameenee Magu," the Construction Ministry said.

The Ministry said RDC is preparing to accelerate the construction of Ameenee Magu. The ministry also discussed on the inconveniences the public might face during construction work.

The road has now been developed up to the Planning Ministry.

The Planning Ministry awarded the construction of Ameenee Magu to RDC on 3 July 2022 for MVR 84.4 million with a completion date of 210 days. Practical work began on August 30 of that year. The work was agreed to be completed within seven months, but was not completed. Therefore, the Planning Ministry has extended the deadline.
