The ruling People's National Congress (PNC) has elected Fonadhoo MP Moosa Siraj as its Parliamentary Group (PG) leader.

The PNC has informed the Parliament on November 29 that Moosa Siraj is the PG Leader of the PNC.

Starting the parliament session today, Speaker Mohamed Aslam announced that the PNC had informed the parliament that Moosa Siraj is now their PG Leader. Hence he made the announcement for the parliament.

Moosa Siraj was formerly a member of the MDP. He left the MDP on August 21 during the last presidential election.

He supported Mohammed Muizzu during the campaign and signed up for PPM. However, when President Muizzu came to power, he joined the ruling PNC.
