Man injured in gang violence in Addu City is being treated in IGMH ICU, police said.

Police said the 30-year-old man who was injured in the fight was treated at the Equatorial Hospital in Addu City and then transferred to Male’ City for further treatment. IGMH has not disclosed details of his injuries.

Police are investigating the incident and have arrested four people under a court order. The arrested include an 18-year-old, a 19-year-old, a 20-year-old and a 23-year-old Maldivian men, police said.

Additional police teams have been sent to Addu City to maintain order, police said in a statement yesterday. Police are investigating the incident and are taking legal action against those involved.
