President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has reduced the sentences of 200 inmates, under the powers vested in him through the constitution.

Speaking to “One Online”, Spokesperson of the President, Ibrahim Hoodh noted that the President had reduced sentences of 200 inmates during the past week. According to Hoodh, these 200 inmates were ones who had shown good behavior during their time.

According to Hoodh, some of these inmates will be completely free, while some will move to house arrest and some will see a reduced jail time.
