Former MTCC CEO Adam Azim will run for Male' City Mayor on the MDP ticket.

Azim won the MDP ticket without contesting the primary. No other candidate had submitted to contest for the ticket during the opportunity which was open till 4:00 pm yesterday.

Former Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof, who had earlier said he would contest the primary, has not contested the primary.

In addition to the mayoral ticket, candidates for other vacancies in the city council have also received tickets without a primary.
