Hassan Mughunee, who was appointed to the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), has been removed from the board.
Mughunee, who was the former Managing Director of the State Electric Company (STELCO) in the government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, was also the State Minister of the Environment Ministry in the government.
The President appointed Mughunee to the PCB on Thursday. He was removed from the post within three days of his appointment.
However, the PCB posted on X (Formerly Twitter) yesterday that President Muizzu re-formed the board on Tuesday. The list of new board members is also included. However, Mughunee's name is not on the list.
PCB President Hamdhee Ageel told One that the list has been released.
While Mughunee has been removed from the post, and the reason for his dismissal is unclear.
The PCB board currently consists of seven members including the President, Vice-President and five members from five fields. They are:
