A police officer has been injured while trying to stop a man who was allegedly carrying drugs.

According to police, an officer was injured around 2019hrs when he tried to stop a man who was allegedly carrying drugs while patrolling since Janavaree Magu.

A 37-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with the case, police said.

Though the police stated that an officer was injured while trying to stop the accused, they did not specify on the officer's injuries.

Police is investigating the matter.
