The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) on Wednesday appointed Managing Directors (MDs) to 20 state-owned companies.

The new MDs appointed to the companies are:

  • Urbanco: Ibrahim Fazal Rashid
  • MACL: Ibrahim Shareef
  • MPL: Mohamed Wajih Ibrahim
  • STO: Shimad Ibrahim
  • Island Aviation: Ibrahim Ias
  • WAMCO: Mujtaba Jaleel
  • Aasandha: Aminath Zeeniya
  • Fahi Life: Hamdhan Shakeel
  • MITDC: Hawwa Shiuna Khalid
  • Hajj Corporation: Mohammad Shakeel
  • TradeNet Maldives: Saeedha Umar
  • PSM: Zeena Zahir
  • RDC: Brigadier General (Rt) Ali Zuhair
  • Fenaka: Muaz Mohamed Rasheed
  • Regional Airports: Ahmed Mubeen

In an interview to state media ahead of Republic Day, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced that six women would be hired for heads of state-owned companies during his tenure.
