President Dr Mohammed Muizzu has appointed three members to the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB).

In accordance with the authority granted to him by the Privatization, Corporatization, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Government Businesses Act, President Muizzu appointed three members to the Privatization and Corporatization Board.

They are as follows:

- Ahmed Mushthag, Accounting and Finance Sector

- Leena Abdul Jaleel, Banking Sector

- Uz. Moosa Fathuhy Adam, Business Administration Sector

The PCB board has a total of 7 members. However, the then chairman of the board, Asim Mohammed, board member Ali Shafiu and board member Rushaha Ahmed resigned from the board in September.

Government companies have not been able to appoint people so far due to insufficient board members. People are appointed to the positions of heads of government companies after the President sends the names he wants to the Board and gets approval from the Board.
