Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said AA. Rasdhoo Harbour Breakwater Construction and Coastal Protection Project is well underway.

MTCC said the quay wall block installation work is currently ongoing with 72% completion and the quay wall concrete works are ongoing with 44% completion.

Scope of works for the project include reclamation operations of 106,552cbm, construction of a 106m breakwater, a 1,656m revetment, a 177m quay wall, 224m groynes, construction of a 11m x 11m ramp, installation of a 43m x 2m concrete bridge, a 20m x 2m concrete bridge, 795sqm harbour pavement, and navigational and harbour lights.

The project is valued at MVR 80.4 million.
