Maldives Immigration has decided that Maldivians arriving and travelling abroad will not be required to complete the 'Imuga' Travel Declaration Form.

The decision was taken by Mohammad Shaman Wahid, who was appointed as immigration controller yesterday.

In a statement issued last evening, the immigration department said that the 'Imuga' traveller declaration form was made mandatory to make it as convenient as possible for Maldivians to travel.

The 'Imuga' form was introduced during the Covid era. There have been complaints from the public regarding the 'Imuga' declaration requirement post-Covid restrictions.
