Mohamed Shujau Abdul Raheem has been reinstated as the principal of Arabiya School as ordered by the Employment Tribunal.

The Tribunal decided Shujau should be reinstated as principal of Arabiyya School on 1 November 2023, after their investigations revealed that Shujau was not transferred to another post in a proper manner.

Education Ministry's PS Ahmed Ali told 'One' that after the completion of the process of the case filed by Shujau before the Employment Tribunal, he was reinstated to the post of principal of Arabiya School, effective today.

Shujau was sacked as principal of Arabiya School on November 6 last year and transferred to the National Institute of Education (NIE) at that time after Iskander School was appointed as the principal of Arabiya School on a temporary basis, Ahmed Ali said.

Shujau was appointed as the principal of Arabiya School on January 8, 2018, after Nasrullah resigned from the post. Shujau was Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the Islamic University before being appointed principal of Arabia.

Last year, the school was temporarily shifted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building after parents of the students raised concerns over the incident.
