Deputy Commissioners of Police Abdul Mannan Yoosuf and Ali Rasheed are set to retire from the police service.

Maldives Police Service said on Sunday that they would retire on November 25.

Mannan was appointed acting commissioner after the retirement of the then police commissioner Mohamed Hameed.

Mannan was appointed Deputy Commissioner by former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on November 19, 2018. He has served in the police force for 29 years.

While President Muizzu is forming his cabinet and appointing people to government positions, he is yet to appoint a police commissioner.
