The Secretary-General of SAARC, Golam Sarwar, paid a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday afternoon.

During the meeting at the President's Office, President Dr. Muizzu expressed his gratitude to Sarwar for accepting the invitation to the Presidential Inauguration ceremony held on Friday evening.

The Secretary-General thanked President Dr. Muizzu for the invitation and congratulated him on his assumption of office. He praised the President's Inaugural Address as powerful and inspiring, expressing confidence in the bright future of this administration.

President Dr. Muizzu and the Secretary-General also discussed the significance of collaboration among SAARC members for the development of regional countries. They stressed the importance of addressing challenges through meaningful engagement with other SAARC members.

President Dr. Muizzu assured the Secretary-General of Maldives' full support and commitment to strengthening the existing relationships among SAARC member states.
