Commissioner of Prisons of Maldives Correctional Service Ahmed Mohamedfulhu has submitted his resignation.

He submitted a proposal to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to step down from the post of Commissioner from Saturday.

Mohamedfulhu was appointed commissioner of prisons in 2020 after the removal of then Commissioner Abdulla Munaz. Mohamedfulhu was appointed Commissioner while he was the Inspector of Prisons. He was appointed as inspector of prisons on May 16, 2019.

After resigning from his post, Mohamedfulhu praised the people he worked together with.
