Commissioner of Police (CP) Mohamed Hameed has retired from police service.

CP Hameed retired from the police service at a ceremony held at Iskandar Building for the same.

Speaking on the occasion, CP Hameed thanked those who have contributed at various levels during his time as a police officer, including the family of the commissioner of police, home minister, deputy commissioners and inspector of police Ali Shazli.

CP Hameed said that from the time he first joined the police force till now, he has worked with people from different walks of life, He noted that he has seen courage, determination, and diligence in every police officer he has worked with.

He appealed to all police personnel to ensure that the dignity of the police institution is a responsibility on the shoulders of every employee, adding that he will always be at the forefront of the police's efforts to make the Maldives a crime-free and safe place.

CP Hameed was presented with a memento of honour, retirement card and police flag. The memento of honour is presented by the Maldives Police Service to the commissioners who retire with honour. The memento includes colours and medals received by the

Commissioner.

The retirement card is given by the Police Service to every police officer who retires gracefully, an identification card that can be used whenever he enters the police institution and will also be available to the police.

CP Hameed was presented with a special tribute to his invaluable and invaluable contribution to the service of the Maldives Police Service.
