Black turtle found in Male' City relocated to Kaashidhoo wetlands

Environment Protection Agency (EPA) has revealed that a black turtle (kanzu kahanbu) found on Male' street has been taken to Kaashidhoo.

EPA said in an X post that it was found on the streets of Male' a week ago. Those who found the black turtle reported it to the EPA and provided protection to it. EPA thanked the family for providing protection to the black turtle.

The black turtle was found near Lonuzyaaraiy Park, and has been released to the Kaashidhoo wetland area, according to the EPA.

Black turtle has been a protected species since 1993.
