Police have apprehended one person out of the two, who tried to rob a person with large sums of money.

According to Maldives Police Service, the incident had occurred around 11:30pm last night near the Fathaha Sunbuli shop in Fareedhee magu.

Two men wearing helmets had stopped a person on a motorcycle who was carrying large sums of money. They had then tried to rob the person.

Two policemen who were on duty at the scene had stopped the robbery, and apprehended one of the culprits. The second man was however, able to flee successfully.
